民進黨今（31）公佈2014年台中市長選舉黨內初選民調結果，結果林佳龍與蔡其昌兩人都贏過假想對手現任市長胡志強，其中林佳龍更大幅領先胡志強10個百分點，黨秘書長林錫耀表示，這份將在下個月15日由主席蘇貞昌提報給中執會討論通過後，由林佳龍代表參選。

林錫耀表示，這次的執行單位共有3家民調公司，成功樣本有3813份，對比的競選對手是現任市長胡志強，結果發現3家民調結果都相當一致，無論是林佳龍或蔡其昌的民調都贏過胡志強。

林錫耀表示，根據民調辦法，在林、蔡兩人都贏過胡志強的情形下，就比林、蔡兩人的支持度，結果林佳龍以平均44.73%領先蔡其昌的34.3%，因此將由林佳龍代表參選。

這份黨內初選結果，將由黨主席蘇貞昌在元月15日提報到中執會後討論通過後，完成黨內的提名程序。

民進黨今天公布的民調，並未提供詳細數字，但根據林佳龍自行在臉書上所公佈的民調數字，「林佳龍對胡志強」是44.7%比23.6%、「蔡其昌對胡志強」則是34.3%比29.1%，林佳龍大贏胡志強超過20個百分點。
