【綜合報導】昨天上午台鐵自強號發生撞上土石流事故，今天上午總統馬英九特地前往屏東枋山車站視察，並向徹夜搶通鐵道的工作人員致意，但此舉卻讓南迴線搶通工作「停機」2小時，網友罵聲一片。

《壹電視》報導，馬總統視察前來支援的國軍以及台鐵人員搶通工作全都停擺，時間約2小時，且原訂明天完成的搶通工作一度傳出恐延至後天。對此，網友們痛斥為什麼總統到場需要延宕2小時，也酸難怪通車時間會延後。
