醫：少子化比性別篩檢更嚴重

衛生署全面禁止採母血篩檢胎兒性別，醫師林正凱表示，不明白為何突然做此宣示，因為民國九十六年人工生殖法公布後，早已禁止醫療院所篩檢胎兒性別，因此再公布禁令，意義不大。

資深婦產科醫師、台中揚昇診所院長陳芳英指出，政府應了解現在台灣社會面臨的是更嚴重的少子化問題，尤其目前是適婚年齡不嫁，即使嫁了也不敢生養，「鼓勵生育比禁止性別篩檢還要重要」。

陳芳英說，政府已禁止母血篩檢性別，使得很多孕婦假藉性聯遺傳檢測為藉口進行性別篩檢，如果連這個都禁止，到了十二周透過超音波也能看到性別，如到超音波看出性別再處理，其實是更殘忍的。

陳芳英說，與其禁止母血篩檢性別，還不如多用點心，讓已達到適婚年齡的女性有意願結婚生子，她也憂心，會做性別篩檢的婦女，至少都是還有意願生的一群，萬一全面禁止，她們反而會選擇乾脆不再生了，反而會加重台灣少子化的問題。

不孕症權威李茂盛強調，雖然許多遺傳疾病的確有性聯遺傳，如血友病、地中海貧血或小腦萎縮症，但目前都有更先進的科技可以取代用母血性別篩檢去釐清。

高雄市開業婦產科醫師郭鴻章說，母血篩檢胎兒性別早就沒在做了，站在醫師角度，對政策問題應配合，但「衛生署應多做些對台灣有益的事，不該修理醫師」。
