Tiger Woods雖是家鄉球隊突擊者的粉絲，但公開力挺野馬贏得超級盃，原因是Peyton Manning，他倆惺惺相惜，讓Woods力挺好友拿下勝利。

Woods與 Manning交情甚篤，兩人職業生涯有類似經歷，曾因傷病陷入低潮，後來表現又恢復水準。

Manning因脖子受傷，離開小馬時已不被看好能再有佳績，Woods表示，當時Manning被批得一文不值，「的確，他是變得不一樣了，是變得更出色！」

「這是很酷的一件事，他用努力換來好表現讓所有人閉嘴！」因此Woods在杜拜沙漠菁英賽的賽前記者會上公開力挺野馬。
