孫悟空，又名孫行者，自封美猴王、齊天大聖，任天官弼馬溫

孫悟空：菩提祖師所取的名字。
事實上，悟空之名，原著借鑒了唐代名僧釋悟空之法號，俗名車朝奉，唐初開元、天寶間人

美猴王：孫悟空剛出生時，帶領群猴進入水簾洞後成為眾猴之王，
因此自稱美猴王。

齊天大聖：孫悟空在第一次天庭招安後，因自感受騙反下天庭，回到花果山中，
自封齊天大聖，後天庭被迫承認該封號。
