謝淑薇2013年法網之旅告終，於混雙第二輪敗給Cara Black與Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi無緣八強。

此次謝淑薇與丹麥選手Frederik Nielsen搭配混雙，面對辛巴克與巴基斯坦的組合Black與Qureshi，以4-6、0-6遭到橫掃。

Nielsen現年29歲，主要以ATP挑戰賽為主戰場，曾在2005年的丹麥與王宇佐交手過，當時王宇佐以2比1的盤數擊敗Nielsen。

謝淑薇賽後於臉書上表示，第一盤很可惜，未能把握住關鍵球，輸球並不用失望，腳踝有狀況的她，也指出狀況好多了，接下來還是要撐下去。
