華航一架上海飛桃園之班機，在空橋撤離準備起飛前，發現發動機上有裂痕，班機因此緊急停飛，調其他班機支援。而這項狀況，是旅客發現的！

華航C1502班機在25日中午12時5分從上海浦東機場起飛，旅客登機完畢，空橋撤離後，一名旅客發現，從機艙內往外看就能看到機翼的發動機上有明顯的「ㄇ」字型裂痕，通知空服員後，機長研判事發動機進氣罩蒙皮受損，維修人員確認無法立即修復，因此停飛。

旅客直到晚上8時，才搭上華航調派的其他支援飛機，以及50元美金之補償。華航除對這起事件感到抱歉外，另將會同波音公司調查此事，因該飛機為波音747-1400型。另外民航局認為，此狀況如只是輕微受損，可貼上鋁紙後繼續飛行，但這項狀況已不可這麼做，華航處置正確。
