禁令當前，Alex Rodriguez仍聲稱，下個月會參加春訓。不過洋基也有回應之道，消息人士透露，到時候「邪惡帝國」會把A-Rod丟在小聯盟。

A-Rod發言人Ron Berkowitz說，現階段而言，A-Rod會準備參加春訓，但要是得去小聯盟報到，那就不知道會不會參加了。洋基隊這邊也說，得跟聯盟高層談過之後，才有明朗決定。

由於A-Rod禁賽162場，已經不在洋基的40人名單，邪惡帝國不但可以放逐他去小聯盟，還可以做得更絕一點，像是不派教練餵球給他打擊、或是不讓他參加守備練習。

當然，洋基隊最終極的手段，就是釋出A-Rod，不過仍需付2015-17年的薪水，約6100萬美元。目前洋基隊還沒有會這麼做的跡象。
