UPS 調降 2013 獲利預測

聯合包裹速遞服務公司 United Parcel Service Inc.((US-UPS)) 周五(17日)宣布調降 2013 的財報預測，原因是網購運送業務大量增加，特別是比往年來的短的 2013 年末節日購物季期間，在最後一分鐘大量湧現的訂單。

UPS 表示，為了應付這些大量湧現的訂單，以及維持服務品質，不得不啟用更多設備及人力，包括 8.5 萬名臨時僱員，比原本計劃的還多出 3 萬名。

另外，惡劣天氣也對其 12 月份的務業造成沉重壓力。

UPS上個月曾表示，由於太多訂單在最後期限才一起湧進，部份貨物將無法在耶誕節前及時送到。

UPS 在今天的聲明中，將 2013 年度的預測獲利，從原先的每股 4.65 至 4.85 美元，調降至每股 4.57 美元。
